After our excitement with the elevator, it was good to sit down at Nina's table and have a little tea. The people, clockwise from left, are: my mother, sister, brother, Nina, Tatyana, and my uncle. Tatyana lived a few floors up, and she was letting all of us crash in her apartment, while she stayed temporarly with her mother, a few more flights down.

A much better picture of GUM, the state department store. It's not looking to much like a state department store anymore - it seems to me it's more like a shopping mall, with a bunch of small, independent vendors. It was pretty plush, inside and out.
