I’m going to go out on a bit of a limb here and say that Persephone is not just one of the best restaurants in Aptos, I think it is actually the very best restaurant in Santa Cruz County.  It’s a farm-to-table restaurant that captures the essence of Mediterranean cuisine with a Californian twist. With an emphasis on using locally sourced ingredients, the menu changes with the seasons, ensuring diners are treated to the freshest flavors possible. Popular dishes include the lamb chops, grilled octopus, and seasonal salads. I love the clean and fresh flavors along with the fast and friendly service.  It’s a great meal that won’t leave you feeling weighed down afterwards.

Pro tip:  you don’t actually say bao buns as we all do.  It’s just bao. 😀
