I'm originally from Berkeley, California and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. I moved to Santa Cruz in 1988 when I graduated from high school to attend the University of California at Santa Cruz. My first career was in Information Technology, which took me to live and work in such exotic places as Alaska, Malaysia, Bali, France, the United Kingdom, Belgium, and of course, all throughout Silicon Valley.
I got my real estate salesperson’s license in 2003, and since then I've continued to educate myself and improve my skills. In 2005, I obtained my Real Estate Broker’s license, and have dedicated years to REALTOR® Association Leadership, resulting in winning the prestigious REALTOR® of the Year for 2024. I've traveled widely across the United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia for both business and pleasure. Having visited or lived in over half the United States and more than 50 countries world-wide, I'm convinced that Northern California and the greater San Francisco Bay Area region is not just a great place to live and raise a family. I know that it does, on balance, provide unparalleled opportunity for folks who live here to live their best life imaginable. This sentiment and conviction shine through in my work; I truly believe in the amazing value inherent in every property I represent.
Having been a real estate professional in the area for 20 some-odd years, I bring an unusually high level of skill and expertise to every transaction I'm a part of, having sold over 430 properties since earning my real estate license and I have been ranked as being in the top 1.5% of REALTORS nationwide by RealTrends. I have a passion for helping my clients get the best deal when buying or selling a home. I've earned five star ratings on Zillow, Google, Yelp and many other review sites.
I have been cited in numerous media publications, including Forbes, the Silicon Valley Business Journal, Inman News, Yahoo Finance, and the Santa Cruz Sentinel. I have written a book, now in its second edition, called Get It Sold, and write about real estate industry trends on Medium.
I attribute my long and successful career to one thing: my clients. The truth is, the real estate business isn't about houses: it's about the people that live in them. I make sure that each and every client knows that I'll do whatever it takes to make sure their interests are always put first and that they are fiercely represented.
As I always say: I'm not #1 - YOU ARE.
